Since its establishment, Mazda Publishers has consistently excelled in the area of scholarly as well as trade publishing. This company has traditionally produced quality texts, reference materials, literary works, and general interest books for both researchers and the public at large. Titles touch on a wide variety of topics such as art and architecture, politics, religion, history, language, and culture. The main focus of Mazda Publishers is what we refer to as "the Iranicas." By this term we mean the academic examination and the dissemination of knowledge on various aspects of Iranian civilization throughout history. The study of the constituents of this ancient civilization, whether in the realm of history, literature, politics, religion, or the arts, is the primary goal of our publishing house. Our goal, however, is not limited to the geopolitical entity known as modern Iran; rather, our attempt is to trace and highlight the presence of Iranian elements in their varied forms across time and borders--from ancient China to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. This liberal approach is an imperative due to the inclusive and eclectic nature of Iranian civilization. As such, we have published books about Armenia, Jewish history, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, countries around the Persian Gulf, Kurdish people, Islamic studies, Zoroastrianism, Ottoman Turkey, Mughal India, Egypt with many more such studies to come.
